What Is Biblical Counseling?
Biblical counseling is the ministry of God's Word in the context of a private, personal conversation. The personal ministry conversation involves a church leader or layperson and a person or persons who desire biblical answers, solutions, and help for the questions, problems, and trouble they are experiencing. Biblical counseling is a soul care ministry that Christ has given to His church, which is to be carried out informally in the context of relationships and formally by the leaders in the church (I Thessalonians5:12-14). Biblical counseling can help with all sorts of issues and problems—marriage, parenting, anger, anxiety, grief, fear, addictions, conflict resolution, and much more.
